Obituary

Jerry Brady Weed, Jr., 54, of Summit, passed from this life, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 3, 1964 in Greenville, MS. He was the son of Jerry Brady Weed, Sr. and Joan Hudgins Weed.Jerry was an all- around kind of guy. By trade he was a millwright, but was very talented in many areas from plumbing to electrical and even mechanical. He was also the person that was the life of the party, always telling funny stories and keeping everyone entertained.Recently he and his wife, Vicki, moved their church membership to South McComb, a church where they found more than an average affiliation. It was the Christian home they had been searching for.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Preston Blake Weed.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Kirkland Hays-Weed; one son, Jerry Brady Weed, III; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorna and Robert Skelton, Tammy Weed, Gay and Jim Logan and Dana and Darrell Dew; two grandsons, Dillon Weed and Hunter Weed; one great-grandson, Gavin Blake Weed; numerous nieces and nephews and church family.

Celebration of Life Services will be held Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Percy Quin State Park's Wayside Chapel, 2036 Percy Quin Drive, McComb, MS 39648 at 2PM with Bro. Jeff Van officiating. A reception for family and friends will be held at the chapel from 12PM until services. Inform gate attendant at the park that you are attending the Weed service and you will not be required to pay an entry fee.
