Jerry Lynn Blackshear, 70, of McComb, MS passed away peacefully on 03/30/2022. Jerry grew up in Pike County, a place he loved. He served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper during the Vietnam War. He also worked in the Oilfield for a number of years and enjoyed being outdoors. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman that loved to teach the younger generations all about fishing and hunting. He lived life to the fullest (all 9 of them) with no regrets. Jerry will be dearly missed and always remembered by all.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Willamae "Mickie" Blackshear.

He is survived by his brother James E. Bond (Miriam), sister Vera P. Bond, brother Bobby J. Bond (Judy), sister Hazel K. Baker (David), son Jerry D. Blackshear (Vicki), grandson Trever Courtney, along with numerous extended family members and friends that adored him.

Jerry requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Jerry's family and friends to join us in celebrating his beautiful life at The River on July 2, 2022 at 10am with potluck immediately following.
