Mr. James Frank Williamson, 73, of Magnolia, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS. He was born on October 2, 1944, in Brookhaven, MS, to Walter L. and Sylvia Greer Williamson.He was a member and deacon of East Union Baptist Church in Magnolia, MS; served his country in the US Merchant Marines; worked for many years as a Grocery Store Manager; and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, hunting, fishing, sitting in his swing listening to music and taking his dog, Boomer, for walks. He was a loving son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Diane Williamson Greer; brother, Walter Leroy Williamson; and brothers-in-law, Dennis Hamilton, Harold Moak, and Stanley Greer.
Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Wyleene Hamilton Williamson; daughters, Shawn Williamson Lowery and husband Benjamin, and Kristie Williamson Senner and husband Lance all of Smithdale, MS; grandchildren, Austin Terrell and wife Shelby, Briana Lowery, Gracie Senner, Lance Michael Senner II, and Kristian Senner; brother, Nolan Williamson and wife Karen; sisters, Louise Williamson Moak, Betty Williamson McDavid and husband LaFayette, and Judy Williamson McCullough and husband James; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be at East Union Baptist Church in Magnolia, MS, on Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue at East Union Baptist Church on Friday, May 11, 2018, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM with Bro. Brandon Lynch. The graveside service will follow in the Church Cemetery. Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers are Austin Terrell, Nolan Williamson, David Hamilton, Jamie Hamilton, Lance Senner and Benjamin Lowery.Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Cooksey, Woodrow Wilson and the Deacons of East Union Baptist Church.
