Wallace, Sr.
January 31, 1952 – January 18, 2022
James Keith "Byrd" Wallace, 69, of McComb, MS , passed from this life on January 18, 2022 at UMMC in Jackson, MS surrounded by his loving family. Keith was born on January 31, 1952 in McComb, MS to James E. and Merrose Gatlin Wallace.
Keith was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish; he also loved to ride his motorcycle. He owned a successful electrical contracting company and was a blueberry farmer. His favorite pet was a squirrel named Roxie. He enjoyed "Man Clan" time with his two best friends, no matter where the time was spent. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death his mother; one brother, Steve Wallace and two brothers-in-law, Wade Ditcharo and David Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years, Karen "Koko" Wallace; two daughters, Sarah Wallace Jones (Will) of Summit, MS and Julie Wallace of Bogue Chitto, MS; one son, James Keith "Jamie Earl" Wallace, Jr. (Vivian) of Summit, MS; two granddaughters, Dayle Easley and Rosaleigh Wallace; two sisters, Regina Sinclair (Bill) and Cathy Ditcharo and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Farnham, Raymond Van Dan, Keith Davis, Mike Johnson, Cory Boyd, and Brayden Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Williams and Tony Howell.
A visitation will be held at Sharkey Funeral Home on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 11:00 A.M until 2:00 P.M. with service following at 2:00 P.M. Bro. Rick Kennedy will officiate. Burial will follow at Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Montgomery Baptist Church or the church Cemetery.
