Mr. James E. Moore, Jr., 72, of McComb, MS passed from this life on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS.

Mr. Jimmy was born in McComb, MS on June 27, 1949 and was the son of James E. Moore, Sr. and Dorothy Lanelle Yates Moore. After many years working as a brakeman/conductor for the ICRR, he was the animal control officer for the City of McComb. In his life he met many friends because he was a people person who never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Smith Moore of McComb, MS; his son, Jay Smith Moore of McComb, MS; his mother, Dorothy Lanelle Yates Moore of McComb, MS; one brother, Luther Moore of McComb, MS; one sister, Mary Ann McKenzie and Joe of McComb, MS; three grandchildren, Kent Michael Moore, Chloe Marie Moore, and Taylor Brees Moore all of Burlington, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
