Mr. JE Childers, 70, of Smithdale, MS, passed from this life on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.

Mr. JE was born in Vina, AL on April 3, 1950 and was the son of Alton Childers and Helen Mitchell Childers. He was a family man. He enjoyed hunting with his beagles and field trialing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by parents and two brothers, WC Childers and Carl Childers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Charlotte Gay Childers of Smithdale, MS; two sons, Jamie Childers and Rebecca of Smithdale, MS and Jason Childers and Kim of Smithdale, MS; one daughter Jade Lucy Wainwright and Danny of Smithdale, MS; one brother, Coy Childers and Lori of Watson, LA; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren on the way and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10AM on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at his residence in Smithdale, MS.
