Obituary

Helen Louise Watts, age 88, of Summit passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 after a lengthy illness.

She was born May 18, 1930 in Pike County.

She was a graduate of Johnston Station School. Helen loved fishing, crocheting, gardening and cooking. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Sam "Bo Jack" and Isabelle Furlow Roberts; infant son, Michael Columbus  Watts; sisters, Velma (Edward) Norton, Florence "Kit" (Earl) Harper, Ruby (Henry) Carroll, Alma (Jack) Henley, and Elsie (George) Prescott; brother, Stanley (Evelyn) Roberts; and son-in-law, Richard Hodges.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Albert "Fuzz" Watts; daughter, Cynthia "Ann' Hodges; sons, Albert "Buddy" (Becky) Watts and Rickey (Jackie) Watts; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Sharkey Funeral Home 1023 Old Brookhaven Road, Summit, MS 39666 from 1PM until services at 3PM with Bro. Jim Dalton officiating.  Interment will follow at Johnston Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jason Carroll, Doug Carlisle, Cameron Watts, Dusty Hodges, Sam Watts and Austin Brooks.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN  38105 or Johnston Chapel UMC Cemetery Fund, 2093 Chapel Drive, Summit, MS 39666.
