Helen Lucille Kelly, 87, of Ferriday, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024 at her son's home in Smithdale. She was born on July 28, 1937 in McComb, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Sharkey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez. Bro. Mark Richardson will officiate the services. Bro. Mark Richardson and Cynthia Kelly will provide special music.
She was the manager of Myron's Shoe Store in McComb for five years. After moving to Ferriday, Louisiana, she and her husband owned and operated Crossroads Grocery on Lake Concordia for thirteen years. Her joys in life were her church, serving the Lord, her children, her grandchildren, and her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Kenneth R. Kelly; one Son, Johnny Greer; one Step-Son, Kenny R. Kelly, Jr.; her Parents, Lucious Lee & Hazel Rutland Dunn; two Brothers, Robert Dunn, Kenneth Dunn; one Sister, Evelyn Gillis; one Son-In-Law, Bobby DeLaughter; and two Sisters-In-Law, Elwanda Dunn Peters, Norma Lynn Dunn.
She is survived by her Son, Perry Lee Greer (Nitha), of Union Church; her two Daughters, Connie DeLaughter, of Brookhaven and Helen Wells (Pete), of Smithdale; two Step-Daughters, Brenda Sue Estis (Rufus) and Debbie Good (Weldon); three Grandchildren, Shannon Greer, Brandi Harvey (John) and Cole Wells (Sarah); five Step-Grandchildren, Kevin Estis, Michael Estis, Kelly Good, Dillon Good and Trey Kelly; four Great Grandchildren; one Sister-In-Law, Kay Dunn; and one Step-Daughter-In-Law, Jackie Kelly.
Pallbearers will be Bobby May, Jimmy Greer, Randy Dunn, Cole Wells, Shannon Greer, Perry Greer. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Dunn and Pete Wells.
