Mrs. Helen Alexander, 91, of Summit, MS passed from this life on Monday, April 13, 2026, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 8, 1935, to Victor and Johnny Lee Wallace Boyd.
Helen lived a life rich in love and devotion, sharing 61 wonderful years with her beloved husband, L.T. Alexander. A truly godly woman, she was a devoted Christian and attended McComb Gospel Assembly Church, she was known for her hardworking spirit, always finding joy in cooking delicious meals and creating beautiful pieces through sewing. She made the best chicken and dumplings. Her days were often filled with the uplifting sounds of gospel music, and she found peaceful enjoyment in coloring and word search puzzles. Above all, Helen cherished her grandbabies and held a special place in her heart for her furry companion, Oreo "Cookie."
Preceding her in death were her husband, L.T. Alexander; father, Victor Boyd; mother, Johnny Lee Wallace Boyd; daughter, Brenda Johnson (Wayne); brothers Vonque Boyd (Rachel), Jimmy Boyd (Vera); sisters, Vetanell Boyd Bates (Joe), Alma Boyd, Sharon Boyd, Voncelle Boyd Williams (Howard), Charlene Boyd Gipson (J.W.); daughter-n-law, Mary Alexander.
Survivors are her son, Dewayne Alexander; daughter, Mylinda Russ; brother, Rocky Boyd (Barbara); sisters, Gracie Boyd Herring (Robert), Annie Boyd Reid (Wayne), Magalene Boyd Phillips (Russell); grandchildren, Jennifer Russell (Derek), Jamie Case (Rusty), Heather Johnson, Steven Alexander, Daniel Alexander, LeAnn Case Kim (Phil), Jake Case; great grandchildren, Dalton Russ, Alana Russ, Austin Thompson (Shelby), Gracie Carter (Eddie), Ainsley Johnson, Kason Alexander, Karter Alexander; great great grandchildren, Dominic Jergins, Violet Jergins, Blaze Jergins, Ryder Johnson Rowan Johnson and Hershel Thompson; special niece and nephew, Kaye and Gary Johnson; special nephew Billy Boyd; special great nephew, Scott Johnson; her beloved fur baby, Oreo "Cookie" and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Pallbearers are Scott Johnson, Heather Johnson, Austin Thompson, Alana Russ, Eddie Carter and Dalton Russ.
Honorary pallbearers are Perry Williams, Brian Williams, Grace Thompson and Gary Johnson.
