Hannah Elizabeth Pickard Cox Passed away on April 2, 2023, in McComb, MS. She was born September 12, 1990, in McComb MS.
Hannah was a precocious child who always possessed a maturity beyond her years. She was a compassionate soul and always had a special love for children and animals.
Hannah graduated from North Pike High School in 2009, then went on to the University of Southern Mississippi where she met her future husband. She graduated from USM in 2013, with highest honors in both Psychology and English. She obtained a Master of Science in Psychology in May 2021, and a postgraduate certificate in Applied Behavioral Therapy in January 2023.
Hannah was passionate about ABA therapy and helping children with autism. She worked for Pine Belt Mental Health in Purvis, MS; Butterfly Effects in Slidell, LA; and Will's Way in Summit, MS. Hannah helped many families and changed countless lives.
Hannah was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Clifford Pickard; maternal grandfather, Jesse Greer; paternal grandmother, Peggy McKenzie; an uncle, David Pickard; and a sister, Abigail Pickard.
Hannah Is survived by her husband, Koty Cox; an infant son, Samuel Cox; her parents, Terry and Melanie Pickard; a lifelong friend, Jep Huffman; father, Buddy McKenzie; maternal grandmother Mollie Greer; paternal grandmother, Lanelle Pickard; paternal grandfather, Winfred McKenzie; a brother, Saul (Morgan) Pickard; a sister, Bethany Pickard; a sister-in-law, Jennie Weaver; a brother-in-law, Michael Ditta; nephews, Reeves Pickard, Myles Pickard, Kaydin Antoine, and Jaiden Ditta; a niece, Kieleigh Antoine, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 3PM until 6PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS. This will be an informal gathering to remember Hannah.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a trust for Hannah's son, Samuel Abbott Cox.
