Glenn E. "Blue Bird" Oglesby, Jr. 33, of Ethel, LA, passed away, Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at St. Francisville Country Manor.

He was born November 26, 1986 in   McComb, MS.  He was the son of Glenn Oglesby, Sr. and Dana Mims Oglesby of  Zachary, LA.

He was a 2005 graduate of Zachary High School and was formerly employed by Wal Mart.

He is preceded in death by an uncle, Mickel Oglesby.

He is survived by his parents; his sister, Amanda Oglesby of Natchitoches, LA; aunts and uncles, Kathy Billiott of Ethel, Johnny and Debra Oglesby of Zachary, Louise and H.W. Alexander of Lucedale, Tammy and Johnny Westbrook of Liberty and Cynthia Boutwell of Zachary, Marty Mims, Romey Mims June and Buster McDonald, Dot Sible, Kay and Kasey Taylor, Martha Mims, Rena and Mikel Tardie, cousin Buster Tullos and former girlfriend, Skye Ducote of Baker, LA.

Visitation is Thursday at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 6028B Fenn Road, Smithdale, MS 39664 from 5PM until services at 11AM Friday with Bro. Jack Whittington officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove cemetery with Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are Douglas Atkins, Johnny Oglesby,  Mitchell Alexander, Sr., Mitchell Alexander, Jr., Issac Kendrick and John Westbrook.
