Mr. George J. Perret, 75, of Progress, passed from this life February 22, 2020 at his residence.
Mr. Perret was born in New Orleans, LA, on February 18, 1945 and was the son of Frank B. and Loretta Bienvnutte Perret. He was of the Catholic faith; worked as an auto body repairman for many years and later as a quality controller for Sanderson Farms in McComb, MS; and enjoyed spending time outside and working around his home. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Frank Wilson Perret; and two infant sisters, Geraldine and Loretta.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Genieva Perret of Progress, MS; daughter, JoAnn Perret Morales, Jenny Perret Simpson and husband Greg, Janet Perret Chance, Georgette Perret Cochran and husband Harold, and Christine Perret Clause; siblings, Marilyn Brown and Marylou Berryhill; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 1:00 PM until time of service at 3:00 PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit. Burial will be in St. Mary of the Pines Cemetery in Chatawa, MS.
