Obituary

Gary M. Boyd, 73, of the Enon community in Walthall County, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at his residence.He was born September 8, 1944, in Tylertown, MS. He was the son of Clyde B. and Letha Cothern Boyd.Mr. Boyd was retired from Croft Metals. He was a member of Holmesville Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting , fishing and riding horses. He was also a proud member of the NRA.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Clyde Emory Boyd; three sisters, Era Jane Boyd, Buna Delaughter and Jean Dunaway and two brothers-in-law, Curtis Phelps and T.C. Delaughter.

He is survived by two sisters, Frankie Phelps of the Enon community and Faye Hall of McComb and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Friday, July 20, 2018 at Holmesville Baptist Church, 1029 Madison Street, McComb, MS 39648 from 5PM until 8PM and Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 11AM until funeral services at 1PM with Bro. Lee Mathis officiating. Interment will follow in Enon Cemetery. The family would like to say a special thank you to Compassus Hospice, especially Shannon Lander, Teresa Greer and his sitter, Cynthia.
