Franklin "Frankie" Ottis Roberts, 69, passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
Frankie was born July 13, 1954 in Tylertown, MS to Franklin D. Roberts and Joyce Rayborn Roberts. He was the oldest of three children. He was a graduate of McComb High School and attended Southwest Community College.
Frankie professed his life to Christ at an early age. He loved the Lord will all of his Heart. He served as a Deacon and a Sunday School teacher at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church for many years.
Family was of high importance to Frankie. He was the loving husband of Belinda Sue Roberts for 47 years. They resided in Jayess, MS and later in Madison, MS. Together they raised 3 children, welcomed 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. You could always rely on "Pawpaw", and he was a true blessing to them. He loved to make everyone around him happy by making them laugh with his playful spirit and witty jokes.
Frankie was an avid fisherman and loved being outdoors. Fishing was such a part of his life, that he was nicknamed the "JSBassmaster" by his family.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda, his children: Felisha Michelle Boyd, Shannon Mac Boyd, and Justin Ottis Roberts (Margie); grandchildren: Cassi Nobles (Mike), Brandon Boyd, Christian Boyd, Bethany Grace Boyd, Abbie Roberts, and Eliot Roberts; great grandchildren: Lilly Nobles, Cohen Nobles, Chloe Nobles, Holland Boyd, Charlie Boyd, and Josiah Crossley; three sisters: Beverly Smith (Tony), Cindy Roberts Dunaway and Carmen (Josh) Williamson and two brothers Al (Elizabeth) Roberts and Tim (Kimberly) Roberts and a host of other family and friends.
Arrangements will be managed by Catchings-Sharkey Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held on Sunday, 3/24/2024, 2 P M at Enon Cemetery in Jayess, MS.
