Frances Jones, age 89, of Liberty, MS, was called into the presence of the Lord, June 20, 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Frances was retired. She was an active member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mattie Spillman; husband, Charles Edwin Jone; 7 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Survivors are her son, Charles “Al” Jones and wife Sherry; daughter, Kim Womack and husband Michael; sisters, Mildred Williams and Johnny Ruth Jones; grandchildren, Brennon (Jessie) Womack, Eric (Monica) Stegall; great grandchildren, Tatum and Kinsley Womack, Avin, Jossy, Ryker and Rex Stegall; great- great grandchildren, Theo and Talullah Stegall; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Brennon Womack, Michael Womack, Ray Neal Jones, Barry Felder, Bill Baggett and Jerry Maxwell.

Honorary pallbearer is Greg Wilkinson.

Funeral services will be at Liberty Baptist Church in Liberty, MS on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Liberty, MS. Dr. Brock Burch will officiate. Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
