Florence F. Mary, 87, of McComb, passed away, Friday, June 9, 2017 at her residence. She was born September 24, 1929 in Eunice, LA. She was the daughter of Willis and Elizabeth Hallie "Bessie" Dorman Fusilier. She was a homemaker. At age 17 she began a career as a legal secretary for Ethyl Corporation in Baton Rouge and later worked for the LSU Dental School. Following the death of her beloved husband, Mrs. Mary moved from Metairie, LA to McComb and was introduced to garage sales and collecting by Theresa Mary, which she thoroughly enjoyed for the remainder of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Berchman J. Mary; a grandson, Joseph "Joe" Michael Mary; one sister and brother-in-law, Myrza Lee Fusilier Newby and William F. "Bill" Newby and; one brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Twinkle Fusilier. She is survived by two sons, John Mary of Hattiesburg and Joseph Niel Mary and wife, Sherry of Fernwood; one daughter, Caroline Marie Mary Stromeyer; one brother, Willis Rutledge Fusilier and wife, Shirley of Buchana Dam, TX; one brother, Willis Charles Fusilier and wife, Dolly; six grandchildren, Christopher Mary, Katie Mary and Justin Mary all of Hattiesburg, JP Mary of McComb, Jennifer Nicole Mary of Hammond and Angelle Marie Stromeyer Wolf and husband,William ; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Fortenberry and Marilyn Michal Mary; a cherished friend, Diana Dolan Little of Hattiesburg and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the care given to Mrs. Mary by Patty Vanderslice of St. Luke Hospice. Visitation is Tuesday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in McComb from 5PM until 7PM and Wednesday from 10:30AM until funeral mass at 12noon with Father Brian Kaskie officiating.
