She was the daughter of George Grafton and Laura Greenlee Grafton. She was a graduate of William Carey College in Hattiesburg and a member of Magnolia Methodist Church. She was a teacher, a beloved secretary at South Pike High School where the annual was dedicated to her, and later until her retirement, served as a case worker for the Pike County Welfare Department. Her intense love of reading led her to begin many conversations, "I just read---" and the topics were numerous. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Richard Anders. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie and Eddie Baker of New Orleans, LA and Margaret and Morrell Richardson of Brandon, MS. Additional survivors include granddaughter, Allison and husband, Rob Griner of Bethesda, MD, grandson, Brian Baker of Hammond, LA; great-grandsons, Andrew and Walter Griner of Bethesda, MD and special friend and longtime caregiver, Gloria Martin. She also leaves behind three generations of nieces and nephews with whom she kept in loving contact. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Camellia Estates and to St. Luke Hospice. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in her memory to Magnolia Public Library, 230 South Cherry Street, Magnolia, MS 39652 or Methodist Children's Home, 805 North Flag Chapel Road, Jackson, MS 39202.
