Temple Hunt

Evelyn Malissa Temple Hunt entered Heaven peacefully in her sleep on May
12, 2022 in Vicksburg, Ms.
She was born Sept 16, 1925 in Pike County, Miss. to William Ferguson and
Geneva Cutrer Temple.
She graduated from St. Mary of the Pines School (sisters of Notre Dame) in
1943 and soon afterward went to work for the Illinois Central Railroad
dispatching troop trains until 1945. She worked for Gulf States Theaters for
approximately 20 years. She also worked at several banks in McComb and
Dallas, TX. She served as Office Manager on the Billy Graham crusade in Vicksburg
in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Ferguson and Geneva Key
Temple, husband Theo Lawrence Hunt Jr., daughter Heather Marlene Hunt,
brothers Hurlin, Homer, and Melvin Temple and sisters Annie Lucille Easley and
Dorothy Temple Hopson.
She is survived by her daughter Lawrie Lisa Hunt of Vicksburg, MS. and brothers
William and wife Maxine Temple of Denham Springs, LA., Joseph and Eva Temple
of Baton Rouge, LA., Otis and Suzanne Temple and Ronnie and Susan Temple all of
Summit, MS.
Mrs. Hunt is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, 2 PM at The Church of the
Mediator, 215 North Broadway, McComb, MS 39648.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 1115 Maim St Vicksburg, MS.
