Evelyn Martin, 80, of McComb passed away June 20, 2025. Mrs. Martin was born October 6, 1944 in Fernwood, MS.

Services for Evelyn Martin will be Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Holmesville Baptist Church in McComb, MS. Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. until services at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Bro. Ricky Lee will officiate.

Mrs. Martin was a member of Holmesville Baptist Church. She retired from the Mississippi Forestry Commission after 20 years of service. She was a devoted mother and had an immense love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie J. and Annie Mae Rushing; a sister, Charlene Rushing Quin and an infant brother, A. V. Rushing.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Walter Martin; sister Dorris Hutson; sons, Mark Martin and Jason Martin; daughter (in law) Dianne Martin; grandchildren, Jake and Sierra Martin, Trevor and Shelby Stafford; great grandchildren, Ayden Martin, Liam Martin and Andrew Stafford and a great granddaughter on the way Evelyn Carol Stafford.

Pallbearers will be Jake Martin, Trevor Stafford, Bobby Gates, Michael Stafford, David Quin and James Daniels.
