Evelyn May Barron Williams passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Robertsdale Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Robertsdale, AL. She was born April 14, 1934 in McComb, MS and was the youngest daughter of the late Earnest Elton "Nap" and Martha Ann O'Quinn Barron of McComb, MS.
Evelyn spent 15 years of her life working at Movie Star, Inc. of Magnolia, MS as a seamstress. So, It's no surprise her hobby was sewing; mainly quilting. She loved sitting on the back screened-in-patio watching birds and any mammals that would show up. Other favorite pass times were working on "Find a Word" puzzles, reading and baking. John Wayne was her favorite actor and she loved to watch "Dancing with the Stars" and Figure Skating shows. She LOVED her desserts. She loved reminiscing looking at family photos. She made keepsakes for her daughters passing along recipes and photo albums.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Velma O'Quin and Helen Hunt; brothers, Alfred, Richard and Howard Barron; two children, Kathryn Jean and Alfred Randall Williams and her late husband, David Lamar Williams, Sr.
She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She is survived by her brother, Donald Ray Barron (Betty), of Oxford, MS; two sons, David (Pyong Suk) and Timothy (Mindy); two daughters; Karen Chiasson (Eric) and Sharon Powers; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She cherished her siblings and children very much and loved being around her extended family. She will be missed dearly by all those who knew her.
Evelyn May Barron Williams's life will be honored at Catchings Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00 A M. The service will be officiated by Dr. David Millican. Visitation will be from 9 A M until 11:00 A M. Burial will be in Barron Bethany Cemetery in McComb, MS.
