Evealena Edmonds Deer Thrash passed away at home in Decatur, MS, December 30 2023.

She was born September 14 1938 to Jessie Mae and Lonnie Edmonds in Longview, MS. She moved to McComb as a young girl and graduated from Mars Hill High School.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Jeff Deer, daughter-in-law Beverly Deer, and husband William Thrash, brothers Otis Edmonds and Jack Edmonds.

She is survived by her son Wade Deer, granddaughters Julie (Mark) Prejean, Sherri Deer, grandson Todd Deer, sister Ann Keene (Nelson) and great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS with Brother Millican officiating. Pallbearers will be Neal Edmonds, Ronnie Keene, Victor Keene, Michael Keene, Burney Bilbo, and Wade Nettles.
