Essie Ree Brown, 80, of McComb, passed away, Monday, August 20, 2018 at McComb Nursing Home.She was born June 7, 1938 in Magee, MS. She was the daughter of Fred M. Brown and Minnie Bell Warren Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of New Heights Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two infant daughters, Pamela Jean Wolfe and Anita Renee Wolfe; a brother, Jerry Brown and three sisters, Percy Mae Flowers, Mary L. Griffin ad Mildred J. Bly.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kaye and Gary Johnson of Summit; her grandson, Scott Johnson; two brothers, Charles Brown and wife, Joanne of Marrero, LA and Larry Mack Brown of Bridge City, LA and a very special and caring sister-in-law, Anna Brown of Summit who has always been there regardless of the situation, good or bad.

Visitation is Wednesday at Sharkey Funeral Home, 1023 Old Brookhaven Road, Summit, MS 39666 from 5PM until 7PM and Thursday from 10AM until Celebration of Life Services at 11AM with Bro. Rick Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Hollywood cemetery.Pallbearers are Scott Johnson, Glenn Griffin, Lance Brown, Mac Brown, Billy Brown and Duke Bly.
