Obituary

Esco M. Schilling, 98, of Magnolia, passed away, Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Courtyard Nursing and Rehab.

He was born December 22, 1920 to Herbert Schilling and Mamie Potts Schilling.

Mr. Schilling retired after 30 years as a Shipping Forman with American Box Co. He is a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Schilling was a member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.  He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Irene Kennedy Schilling; son, Therrell Schilling; brothers, Glen Schilling and wife, Juanita and Charles Schilling; sisters, Lora Lee Wascom and husband, B.M.; Carey Wascom and husband, Malcolm; KT Stewart and husband, Ab; and Mavis Simmons and husband, Lloyd; granddaughter, Lisa Michelle Honea.

He is survived by his sons, Harold Schilling and wife, Laura of Magnolia, Aubrey Schilling and wife, Estelle of Magnolia, and Tommy Ray Schilling of Magnolia; daughter, Faye Honea and husband, Jack of Magnolia; brother-in-law, Charles Kennedy of Magalia, California; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Schilling of Gulfport; grandchildren, Theresa Byrd and husband, Frank of McComb; Doug Schilling and wife, Barbara of Magnolia; Holly O'Brien and husband, Tim of Summit; Matt Schilling and fiancé, Dr. Katie Severson of Benbrook, Texas; Amanda White and husband, Joely of Gulfport; Anna Griffin and husband, Scott of Gulfport; Ryan Schilling and wife, Lennie of Hattiesburg; Rusty Schilling and wife, Melissa of Metairie; Tawesia Colyer and husband, Keith of Byram; Mellonee Davis and husband, Stephen of Magnolia; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation is Friday, May 3, 2019 at Bluff Springs Baptist Church from 5PM until 8PM and Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 9AM until services at 11AM with Dr. David Millican officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit.

Pallbearers are Rusty Schilling, Ryan Schilling, Doug Schilling, Ty O'Brien, Joshua Byrd, and Jared Davis.
