Mrs. Elsie Marie Hodges Pittman, 61, of Foxworth, MS went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 24, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Mrs. Elsie was born November 26, 1958 and was the daughter of Herbert Hodges and Ruby May Lilly Hodges.

Mrs. Elsie was a member of Charter Oak Apostolic Lighthouse Church where she was the pastor's wife. She was a talented piano player and loved to play and sing for the Lord. She loved church. Church was her life. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and having family time. She made sure to cook special dishes. She looked forward to her family reunions. She enjoyed teaching and homeschooling her boys. She loved her husband, children, daughter in laws and grandbabies, and cherished each moment spent with them.

She is preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Helen Blalock, Ethel Voight, Janice Mason, Annie Pearl Blalock and one infant sister Maxine Hodges.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Barney Pittman, Jr. of Foxworth, MS; three sons, Barney Trey Pittman III and Elana of Sumrall, MS, Braxton Pittman and Destiny of Folsom, LA, and Brian Pittman of Foxworth, MS; three grandchildren, Bryson Pittman, Alexis Pittman, and Gracelynn Pittman; one brother, David Hodges; four sisters, Edna Blalock, Lucille Israel and Varnell, Polly Stinson and Robert, and Beverly Oliver and Terry; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A graveside visitation will be held Thursday April 30, 2020 at 10:30AM followed by a graveside service at 11AM in the Lilly Family Cemetery in Liberty, MS with Rev. Floyd Odom officiating and Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
