Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Whittington, 67, of Smithdale, MS passed from this life on February 25, 2021, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA.  She was born on February 22, 1954 in McComb, MS to Mr. Eunice Hughes and Mrs. Era L. Hughes. She was married to James "Jack" Whittington for 50 Years. They were blessed with three daughters and two sons.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eunice and Era Hughes; infant son, James William Whittington, Jr.; sister, Judy Gerald and Brother Jerry Hughes.

She is survived by her husband, James "Jack" Whittington; daughters, Angelia Dickerson and husband Chris, Jackie Whittington, Rhonda Everett and husband Trent; sons, Tyler Whittington, Amos Whittington and wife Lynette. Also survived by sisters, Sheila Smith, Patricia Blalock and husband Wayne; bothers, David Hughes and wife Jeannie, along with Ted Hughes and wife, Ruby.

Grandchildren are, Kristen  and Trenten Boggs, Hayley Coleman, Samantha and Trent Summers, Landon Whittington, Maddox Whittington, Travis Everett, Taegan Everett, Trinley Everett, Tate Everett, along with nine great grandchildren.

Her goal in life was to serve God and help others. As a pastor's wife for 36 years, she sacrificed more than her share to help meet the needs of others. Not only did she love her family, she loved everyone.

Pallbearers are Amos Whittington, Landon Whittington, Maddox Whittington, Trent Everett, Travis Everett, Trent Summers, Chris Dickerson, and Trenten Boggs.

Funeral services will be on Monday, March 1 2021, at Pleasant Valley Church in Smithdale, MS at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Rev. Mike Morris and Bro. Chris Carraway will be officiating the services, with Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be at Pleasant Valley Church on Sunday, February, 28, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume on Monday,  March 1, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00.
