Obituary

Margaret Elizabeth 'Lib' Cutrer Schilling, age 89 of Magnolia, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 1st, 2018 at 2:10 am. She was born to the late Howard & Jewel Bankston on December 17th, 1928.

She was sister to Jean Myers and John Howard Bankston, survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Grace Kimberly and Bill Lewis and daughter Wanda Anne Kemp; her three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a number of other loving relatives and close friends.

She was a hard working woman giving years to the Federal Landbank, selling insurance with First Million, teaching piano lessons to many in the community of Magnolia and serving over 60 years as the organist at First Baptist Church of Magnolia. Elizabeth, otherwise known as 'Lib' to her friends, had it said of her that she was one of the most wonderful people to know. She played beautiful music that soothed the soul, and her commitment to playing music in the church was ultimately driven by a desire to always see the generations serve Jesus.

The family would love to invite you to celebrate her life with them on Thursday, September 6th, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Magnolia. Visitation begins at 9am and continues until Celebration of Life Services honoring Elizabeth at 11am. Weather permitting, a graveside committal will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to The Gideons International Processing Center The Gideons International Processing Center, P.O. Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251.
