Edith Pauline Roberts, 96, of Summit, MS passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in McComb, MS. She was born June 9, 1928, in Summit, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, beginning at 5:00 PM at Pine Grove Pentecostal Church in Summit, MS and will continue on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Pine Grove Pentecostal Church in Summit, MS. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Rev. R.H. Johnson, Rev. Joshua Johnson, Nathan Kemp, Rev. Joel Ritchey, and Rev. Drew Ritchey will officiate. Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Roberts was a LPN for 27 years. She loved walking through her yard of flowers and tending to honey bees. She loved to crochet, quilt, and listen to Gospel music. She would always read to her grandchildren and encouraged a love of books.  Church was her life and she was an effective witness for the Gospel's sake.

She was preceded in death by her father, George B Johnson; mother, Alice Lambert Johnson; sons, Jerry Roberts, Randall Roberts, Joseph Roberts; sister, Georgia Mae Simmons; brother, Johnny Johnson.

Survivors include her son, John Glen Roberts (Sue) of Summit; daughter, Candace Pepper (Raymond) of Summit; grandchildren, Chris Roberts, Courtney (Kelly) Elveston, Vanessa (Floyd) Kemp, Ember (Mark) Sellers, Stephen (Miranda) Pepper; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Kathryn Ritchey; brother, Rev. R.H. Johnson (Nancy); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Kemp, Joey Kemp, Evan Sellers, Ryan Sellers, Logan Pepper, and Levi Pepper.

Special music will be performed by the Johnsons, the Ritcheys, the Rutlands, Stephen Pepper, Emily Kemp, Anna Roberts, and Raina Pepper.
