Mrs. Edith Janet Poole Cutrer, 76, of Magnolia, MS, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at her residence.
Mrs. Edith was born in Pensacola, FL on April 5, 1946 and was the daughter of Roscoe Turner Poole and Ruth Inez Hastings Poole. She was a longtime member of Bala Chitto Baptist Church in Magnolia, MS where she enjoyed going and loved her church family. At the church, she was known and called on as a prayer warrior. She would love to sit at home and watch her favorite TV shows of church and Lifetime shows. She loved her family fiercely and loved spending time with them. Before her illness, she was a Home Maker and took care of her husband and family. She was a fine cook and loved to cook them their favorite meals and take care of them. She was known for her famous biscuits and fried shrimp. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mitchell Wayne Cutrer, and one nephew, Jonathon Andrews.
She is survived by her two sons, Eric Wayne Cutrer and Armecy Boyd Cutrer of Pulaski, TN, and Thomas Joseph Cutrer of Magnolia, MS; one sister, Melba Dean Andrews and Julius Andrews of Pensacola, FL; a special member of her family that was like her daughter, Rebecca M. Cutrer; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Adele Cutrer, Michael Eric Cutrer and Terra, KayLee Deprice Cutrer, Austin Janae Cutrer; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Grace Cutrer and Alexander Dupree Cutrer, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Billy Jack Traylor, David Stewart, Michael Gibson, Daniel Pierce, Ronnie Love, and Bro. Greg Whitehead. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Stewart, Gage Scott, Mitchell Eugene Stinson and Clifton James McCullough.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 11AM until time of service at 2PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS with Dr. Dave Hartson and Bro. Greg Whitehead officiating. A burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery.
