Mrs. Doralene Reynolds Forman, 87, of Magnolia, MS, passed from this life on Monday, February 25, 2019, at her residence in Magnolia, MS. She was born on April 7, 1931, on Wall Street in the Mt. Vernon Community of Amite County, MS, to Jesse N. and Hazel Wall Reynolds.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Magnolia; was a retired legal secretary; and enjoyed being outside working in her yard and trying to keep her place that God has blessed her with. Mrs. Forman loved Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, where she accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized in the Amite River at Mary Wall Bridge; graduated from Gillsburg High School and Southwest MS Junior College. She loved her family and friends, and also loved being a member of First Baptist Church in Magnolia where she taught the Primary Sunday School class for 22 years, Miriam Sunday School Class, served as the church treasurer for 40 plus years and served as the chairperson of the grounds committee.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, an infant brother, Ellis Lea Reynolds and Jesse Marshall Reynolds; sister, Annie Jane Carter and great aunt, Virginia Wall.
Survivors are her husband of 64 years, Doyle Wayne Forman; a son and his wife, Barry Wayne and Kim Lofton Forman; a daughter, Melanie Forman Magee; three grandsons, Kris Forman, Jeremy Magee and Jacob Magee; two granddaughters, Shane Forman Normand and Brandy Magee; great granddaughters, Madison McKenzie, Mia Normand and Dylan Grace Forman; one great grandson, Sean Magee and lots of nieces and nephews and many good friends.
Visitation for Doralene Reynolds Forman will be at the First Baptist Church in Magnolia on Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the Magnolia Cemetery. Dr. Barry Ward will be officiating the services with Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Donny Carter, Glen Reynolds, John Forman, Todd Forman, Bill Parsons, Kris Forman, Jeremy Magee and Jacob Magee.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Magnolia General Fund.
