Mrs. Denna Morgan Fortenberry, 48, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, in Lincoln County. She was born on August 16, 1973 in New Orleans, LA, to Roy Lynn Morgan and Rebecca Cheryl Lofton Smith.

She loved life and spending time with people, especially family. She enjoyed different types of crafts. She had a big heart and was always willing to help those in need.  She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her father and her step-father, Jimmy Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, David Fortenberry; her mother; her siblings; two daughters, Alexis Smith Golmon and Kelsi Shyan Fortenberry; and one grandchild, Weston Golmon; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Patrick Roberts, Cody Bates, Cody Walker, Morgan Golmon, Kylan Sterling, and Austin Sterling.

Honorary pallbearers are Boogie Breaux and Weston Golmon.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS. A private graveside service will follow with Rev. Terry Ballard officiating.  Sharkey Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
