Mrs. Delores Gayle Christian Wilson, 82, of Magnolia, MS, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

Mrs. Gayle was born in Altus, Oklahoma on February 23, 1940 and was the daughter of Clyde Christian and Lucille Doyle Christian. She was a longtime member of Terry's Creek Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher and on various committees for many years. She faithfully attended and especially enjoyed her ladies Sunday School class, "Joy". One thing she loved to do, and took pride in, was taking care of her yard and mowing her grass. Her family meant the world to her and she cherished each moment spent with them.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Mr. C.M. Wilson; one brother, Dennis Christian, and one great-grandson, Jonah Johnston.

She is survived by four daughters, Denise Oakes and Scott of McComb, MS, Sheri Martin and Jack of McComb, MS, Gina Johnston and Ricky of Summit, MS, and Rachel Wilson of Ridgeland, MS; three grandchildren, Dustin Gerald and Lisa of Magnolia, MS, Ashley Oakes Earwood and Kevin of Columbus, MS, and Tanner Johnston and Sami of Summit, MS, and two great-grandchildren, Harrison Earwood and Joanna Johnston.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 5PM until 8PM and continue on Monday, October 24, 2022 from 9AM until time of service at 10AM at Terry's Creek Baptist Church in Magnolia, MS with Dr. David Millican officiating and Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A burial will follow in the church cemetery, officiated by Bro. Tanner Johnston.

Pallbearers will be Scott Oakes, Jack Martin, Ricky Johnston, Dustin Gerald, Dennis Knight, and Doug Easley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to Thompson Baptist Church (Bibles for Jonah), 5422 North Greensburg Rd., Smithdale, MS 39664.
