Dean L. Mooers, Sr. 77, of Osyka, passed away, Thursday, May 11, 2017. He was born June 26, 1939 in Bangor, ME. He was the son of Vaughn and Ruth Mooers. Mr. Mooers was a retired body and paint expert. Dean proudly served his country during the Korean War as a Merchant Marine Tanker man and was an outstanding long term member of Masonic Rising Glory Lodge #215 F&AM and Masonic Silver Springs Lodge #410 F&AM in Magnolia, MS. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Tommy Mooers and a step-son, Kenny Randolph. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sylvia Morel Mooers; one son, Dean Mooers, Jr. of Winterport, ME; two daughters, LaVean Mooers of Bangor, ME and Cassidy Haney and husband, Scott of Belgrade, ME; three stepsons and their spouses, Tim and Georgia Randolph of Houma, LA; Stephen and Eva Randolph of Tickfaw, LA and Danny and Lisa Randolph of Metairie, LA; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
