Dawanna Zoe
Boyd
June 9, 1960 – April 7, 2020
Dawanna Zoe Boyd, 59, passed away on April 7, 2020 at her residence in McComb, MS, where she lived with her niece and caregiver Stacy Godwin.
Zoe was born in McComb, MS on June 9, 1960 and was the daughter of the late Price Lee and Elizabeth Wilkinson Boyd.
She lived at the special need's home, Son Valley, in Canton, MS as long as her health allowed, which she dearly loved. She was a member of Center Terrace Baptist Church in Canton, MS. The family attended her Baptism when she was baptized. She came up from the water with her arms raised and shouted "I did it!" She loved Jesus. She was very active in the Special Olympics, participating in all sports. She really enjoyed winning her metals. She delighted in her family watching her at all the games. She dearly loved all her nieces and nephews. She was our ray of sunshine.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by one brother, Jack W. Boyd and Noel of Pearl, MS; one sister, Cherrie Felder and Alfred of Summit, MS; two nieces, Stacy Felder Godwin and Mitch and Tara Felder McGregor and Dusty of McComb, MS; three nephews, Dwayne Boyd and Kathy of Madison, MS, Chris Boyd of Brandon, MS, and Al Felder and Kirsha of Jayess, MS; and four great-nieces and two great nephews.
A private Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2020, at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Pricedale with Bro. Al Felder officiating and Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
A special thanks to Hospice Ministries for the love and care they provided for Zoe.
