Mr. David "D.D." Jackson, 96, of McComb, MS, passed from this life on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Aston Court Assisted Living in McComb.

Mr. D.D. was born on August 10, 1924 and was the son of Dallas Jackson and Courtney Elizabeth Badon Jackson. He was a man of many talents. Out of High School, he went straight into The Navy. He worked with his dad in the Dry Cleaning Industry and then later Farming and Real Estate. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He never missed a party. He loved when his family would get together for big gatherings and go eat. He never met a stranger and was a very social man. He always had great stories to tell and was known for his loving hugs.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by parents; his wife of 68 years, Elsie Jackson; one brother, Billy Jackson and sister-in-law, Joan Jackson; one daughter, Suzy Jackson and a son-in-law, Clark Whitehead.

He is survived by one son, David Jackson and wife, Susan of Sinton, TX; one daughter, Jan Whitehead of Summit, MS; one brother, Wesley Jackson and wife, Jean of Lake Charles, LA; eight grandchildren, twenty-four Great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Corey Whitehead, Rorey Whitehead, Chad Robinson, Drew Calderone, Nathan Whitehead, Brody Whitehead and Parker Robinson.

Visitation will be Monday, September 14, 2020 from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS with Bro. John Underwood and Dr. David Millican officiating the services. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.
