Obituary

Collette Alexander Coffey, 60, of Pricedale, passed away peacefully at her residence Monday, October 22, 2018.She was born July 17, 1958 in McComb. She was the daughter of A.G. Alexander and Pearl McCullough Day. She was a homemaker and a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church until her health began to decline. She had a special love for her pastor and church family and could always be found in the fellowship area helping to serve others. She loved the outdoors and spent much of her spare time hunting, fishing and working with her cattle. As a devoted grandmother, Collette loved spending time with her three grandchildren whether it was at the ballpark, church or farm.

She is preceded in death by her father; her daughter, Tara Lynn Coffey and her stepmother, Delores Adams Alexander.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Pearl McCullough Day and Regie Day of McComb; her husband of 40 years, Bryan Coffey of Pricedale; her son, Phillip Coffey and friend, Justine Wilkinson of Pricedale; three grandchildren, Branson, Braydon and Callie Bree Coffey of Pricedale; two sisters, Allison Alexander and Michelle Boyd, both of McComb; her aunt and uncle, Bonnie and Bobby Sartin of Flowood; her sister-in-law and her husband, Paul and Diane Young of Lubbock, TX; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ron and Celia Coffey of Madison, Jeff and Christy Coffey of Murfreesboro, TN; James and Cindy Travis of McComb and numerous nieces and nephews.The family wishes to take this opportunity to offer their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hospice Compassus for their loving care of Mrs. Coffey.

Visitation is Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1009 Pricedale Drive, Summit, MS 39666 from 6PM until 9PM and Friday, October 26, 2018 from 9AM until services at 11AM with Bro. Mike Burns officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent in Mrs. Coffey's memory to Calvary Baptist Church General Fund, 1009 Pricedale Drive, Summit, MS 39666.
