Mrs. Colleen L. Strickland, of Osyka, MS, passed peacefully from this life, at her home, on June 21, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born on February 2, 1952, in Kentwood, LA to Arvis and Mattie Lambert. Colleen was a retired teacher with the Tangipahoa School District.

Funeral services will be held at Osyka Baptist Church in Osyka, MS on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service will follow at Osyka Cemetery in Osyka, MS. Bro. Jacob Williams will officiate. Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Michael Strickland; her son, Phillip Strickland; and her brother, Mikel Lambert.

Survivors are her daughter; Shelia Childress (Andy), grandchildren; Silas, Meredith and Amelia Childress, and Lilly Strickland; brother, Marlin Lambert (Jean); sister, Orene Lea (Julius).

Pallbearers are Andy Childress, Dustin Mack, Blake Strickland, Colton Smith, Brayden Ridgel and Silas Childress.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to Osyka Baptist Church in honor of Colleen Strickland.
