Obituary

Clay Parker Paulk, 34 of Summit, MS passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025 in Pike County, Mississippi. He was born Wednesday, February 6, 1991 in McComb, Mississippi.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Catchings-Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS.

Clay was truly a big loving bear, a gentle giant with an even bigger heart. He was the kind of person who would genuinely give the shirt off his own back without a second thought, always putting the needs of others before his own. His kind-hearted nature was evident in every interaction.

It's no surprise that he was loved by everyone. His genuine compassion and unwavering willingness to help created a bond with countless people. He wasn't afraid to share his feelings, a beautiful quality that allowed him to connect deeply with others and build authentic relationships. He lived his life openly, with a caring heart.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harlon F. Pine, David Hewitt and William Paulk; and grandmother Lou Hewitt; uncle, Singley Paulk

Survivors include his mother, Sonya M. Pine Bourgeois (Gerald) of Summit, MS; father, Jeffery L. Paulk (Lisa); brothers, Wesley B. Paulk (Lexi), Matthew Paulk, Austin Paulk; grandparents Clyde and Carol Dillon, Francis Hebert and Olive Pine ; sisters, Tracey N. Bourgeois, Kasey L. Bourgeois and Tiffany L. LeBlanc; aunts, Jacquelyn Alexander (Jeff), Geraldine Robichaux (Jade), Debra Abshire (Russell), Lisa Bourgeois, Michel' Fira, Marlene Braly (Billy), Charlene Oliva (Byron), Shannon Fontenot (Jacob); uncles, Jimmy Paulk and Freddie Pine; a host of nephews, nieces and cousins; and two special friends Joseph "Chim" Schneider and Dakota "Scout" Rimes.
