Claude B
King
Nov 6, 1949 — Jul 6, 2026
Mr. Claude B King, of Magnolia, MS, passed peacefully from this life, at Southwest Regional Medical Center, on July 06, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born on November 06, 1948, in Walthall County Mississippi, to E C McDaniel and Mary Nell King.
Claude for forty years, he shared a beautiful marriage with the love of his life Rita, building a family centered on faith, laughter, and unwavering devotion. His greatest joy was the time he spent with those he loved, especially his beloved granddaughter, who held a special place in his heart and brought him endless pride and happiness.
From an early age, music was one of the defining passions of his life. He loved playing the guitar and singing country music, filling many gatherings with the songs he cherished. Growing up, he also enjoyed singing in churches throughout the community, using his voice to praise God and bring joy to others. Music remained a lifelong companion and an important part of who he was.
An outdoorsman at heart, he found peace on the water with a fishing rod in hand. Whether he was casting a line with family and friends or simply enjoying the quiet beauty of nature, fishing was one of his favorite pastimes.
He was also gifted with his hands and took great pride in carpentry and woodworking. He enjoyed creating and building, transforming simple pieces of wood into meaningful projects that reflected both his skill and patience. His craftsmanship was admired by many and served as another way he expressed his creativity.
Never one to shy away from sharing his opinions, he loved talking about politics—often with plenty of spirited fussing along the way. Those conversations became a familiar and entertaining part of his personality, and his friends and family always knew where he stood on the issues of the day.
Above all, he will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. He loved teasing those around him, telling jokes, and keeping people laughing. His quick wit, playful nature, and warm personality made him a joy to be around. Whether through a funny story, a friendly joke, or a little good-natured teasing, he had a special gift for making others smile.
Claude’s life was marked by love, faith, music, family, hard work, and laughter. The memories he created and the joy he shared with others will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
