Mrs. Rogers, "Charlotte" was born May 30 , 1926, in Canton, MS to Clyde Wayne McDaniel and Rosa Reeves McDaniel. She was married to William C. Rogers of Clinton, MS.

She was a native of Johnston Station, Mississippi and had a long career working for Allstate Insurance Company starting with a job at Sears Roebuck and Company. She retired in 1981 after a successful and fulfilling career as a claims adjuster. Charlotte and Bill moved around living in Shreveport, LA, Lake Charles, LA, and in Metairie, LA. They both retired in 1981 and returned to her parents' homeplace on the hill in Johnston Station, MS, and nicknamed the place "The Lazy R."

Charlotte returned to her community giving back in a variety of ways. She belonged to Johston Station Baptist Church, Home Demonstration Club, and was active with her Sunday School group. She loved to cook and bring food to friends, and they returned the favor in her later years. She loved her animals- feeding and caring for many lovingly over the years. She loved her "Saints", her garden, her flowers, and her bountiful fig tree. She loved her family and friends and was loved by so many who will miss her dearly. Those who knew Charlotte will remember her stories, her fig preserves, her chicken and dressing, her homemade tamales, and her "flavored" cakes.

Survivors include nieces and spouses; Melanie and Scott Shiells of Lincoln, NE; Samantha Hansen and Damian Obispo of Barcelona, Spain; Kathie Carlson and Michael Lukowiak of Wimberly TX; Martha Gibson of Wimberly, TX; Maxie Wells of Baton Rouge, LA.

The family would like to extend utmost gratitude to Charlotte's wide circle of friends, support and caregivers. Words cannot express our love and appreciation to them.
