Mr. Charlie "C.J." James Davis, III, 23, of Summit, MS, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 26, 2021 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS, surrounded by his family.

C.J. was born in Hattiesburg, MS on July 13, 1998 and was the son of Charlie James Davis, Jr. and Donna Leigh Hillman Bridges. C.J. was all about life. He loved living life to the fullest. A quote from C.J. himself, "In my life, things have changed, but one thing remains, the sun will always be at my face and water will always flow over my toes. Only in my darkest days will I need a reminder to see that the light is never too far away". He loved fiercely and was always loyal to those he loved. His favorite times were spent at the river with his friends and family, and getting a smile or laugh at the jokes he told. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents, Charlie James Davis, Sr. and Ines Adams Woodard, and a first cousin, Memory Nicole Fortenberry.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Bridges (Jeff) of Summit, MS; father, Charlie Davis (Margie) of New Augusta, MS; big sister, Katelyn Davis of Petal, MS and little sister, Erin Davis of Summit, MS; his Fiance', Chloe Tarver of McComb, MS; Maternal grandparents, Gary and Judy Hillman of Summit, MS; his uncle, Jim Hillman (Tina) of Pearl, MS; two aunts, Charlene Cook (Rodney) of Sumrall, MS, and Dedra Thidodeaux; cousins, Morgan Cook, Rachelle Runnels (Anthony), Jamie Penton (Kristy), Nick Woodard, Kabriann Penton, Landon Penton, Makenzie Penton, Hunter Goff, Megan Peterson, Ava Jones, Christopher King, and a host of friends and family.

Pallbearers will be Jody Morgan, Landon Penton, Austin Williams, Tristan Cothern, Christian Spencer, and Jadon Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Hillman, Gage Havlin, Dalton Reed, Tyler Brown, and Fletcher Durrer.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 10AM until time of service at 1PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS with Bro. Jared Leonard officiating. A burial will follow in the Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Smithdale, MS.
