Charles "C.M." Wilson, 87, of the Terry's Creek community passed away unexpectedly, Friday, November 27, 2020, at his residence. He was born on August 2, 1933, in Magnolia, MS, to James Monroe and Eleanor Lane Wilson.
He enjoyed being at home and spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchild and "his five girls," his wife and four daughters. He was an active member of Terry's Creek Baptist Church, where he loved to greet people as they came in. He enjoyed gardening and sharing with others. He along with his partner, A.G. Williams, established Pike Business Machines. Upon Mr. Williams retiring, he sold the business to its present owner. He was an M.P. in the United States Army, serving in Korea during the Korean War. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three sisters; Jeanne Williams, Wilma Ammons and Faye Cockerham; three brothers, Lloyd Wilson, Kenneth Wilson, and Donald Wilson and one great-grandson, Jonah Lane Johnston.
Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Gayle Christian Wilson; four daughters, Denise Oakes and husband, Scott, Sheri Martin and husband, Jack, Gina Johnston and husband, Ricky, and Rachel Wilson; three grandchildren, Dustin Gerald and wife, Lisa, Ashley Earwood and husband, Kevin and Tanner Johnston and wife, Sami; one great grandson, Harrison Oakes Earwood, one great granddaughter on the way and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Scott Oakes, Jack Martin, Ricky Johnston, Dustin Gerald, Doug Easley and Dennis Knight.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020, from 3PM to 5 PM and will continue on Monday, November 30, 2020, from 9 AM until time of service at 10 AM, all at Terry's Creek Baptist Church in Magnolia, MS. Bro. Tanner Johnston and Dr. David Millican will be officiating the services, with Pastor LaVerne Summerlin conducting the graveside service. Sharkey Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
Due to the COVID-19 virus, masks are mandatory.
