Mr. Charles Lee Dunaway, 79, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at his home. He was born on March 13, 1947, to Feldon and Lucille Gibson Dunaway. Charles was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of the Pricedale Community.

Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He never met a stranger. Charles loved to pick, joke and cut up with those around him. He was known for his stories and could always find something to make people laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Dunaway of 59 years, sons, Kevin Dunaway (Ashlin) and Kriss Dunaway (Kristy), brother, Nolan Dunaway, sister, Dorothy Harris, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way. He loved them all and adored them very much.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Feldon and Lucille Dunaway, daughter, Kim Johnson, brother, Feldon Dunaway Jr. and stepdaughter, Tommie Lynn Cothern.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date with his immediate family present.
