Carl Leslie Wilkinson, 59 years old, gained his angel wings on July 17, 2024. He was born January 28, 1965 in McComb, MS to Charles Edward Wilkinson Sr. and Nancy McCann Wilkinson. Carl was known for always thinking of others before himself. Carl and his wife, Fran, loved riding their Harley and taking trips together. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his fur baby, "Buck Foster" and he loved his nickname "I-Carly" that his son-in-law (Michael) gave him. He was a hard worker and provider for his wife and their four children and four grandchildren. Through the years Carl worked at Waste Management for 18 ½ years where he later retired. His favorite part about his job was his customers and the friendships he made along the way.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 5 PM until 8 PM and Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 1 P M until 2 P M at Tangipahoa Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 P M, Sunday July 21, 2024 at Tangipahoa Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jr. Hood, Daniel Montgomery, Obie James, Shelton Shephus, Clayton Lampton and Cedric Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers will be Vince Robinson, Randy Clark, Michael Graves, Jeffery Stokes, Wayne Rape and Henry Heidelberg.
Carl is preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Wilkinson, Sr., his grandparents, Bernice McCann, Carl J Wilkinson and Eula Wilkinson.
Carl is survived by his loving wife, Fran Bryant Wilkinson (Baby Fran Fran) of 19 years; mother, Nancy McCann Wilkinson; four children, Victoria Wilkinson, Roshelle Stinson (Charles Ray Whittington, Jr.), Mary Graves (Michael) and James Stinson (Jr.); four grandchildren, Hannah Barr, Ethan Bryant, Izzabella Whittington and Mikey Graves; two sisters, Nancy Charlene Welch (Eddie) and Connie McKnight (Joe); one brother, Charles Wilkinson; five sisters-in-law, Mary Smith (Rusty), Barbara Tynes (Kevin), Patty Rayburn (Chris), Amanda Sanderson and Suzie Cox; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family wants to extend a big thanks to Deaconess Hospice.
