Mr. Byron "Guinea" C. Nevels, 63, of Smithdale, MS, passed from this life Monday, November 16, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Guinea was born in Brookhaven, MS on July 9, 1957 and was the son of Ivan Nevels and Bobbie Nell Jordan Nevels. He was an avid deer hunter. He owned Southern Dozer Services in Smithdale, MS and was very good at his job. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Rhonda Bishop Nevels of Smithdale, MS; two brothers, Mike Nevels of Baton Rouge, LA and Duce Nevels of Baton Rouge, LA; two sisters, Beth Nevels of Hammond, LA and Anna Laura Nevels of Baton Rouge, LA; one special cousin, Christopher Jordan and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 2PM at Hollywood Cemetery with Bro. Matt Emfinger officiating and Sharkey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
