William Bruce Chapman, 50, of Summit, passed away, Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in McComb. He was born January 29, 1967 in McComb. He was the son of Leslie W. and Betty Smith Chapman. He was a pipefitter. He was a member of Topeka Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, especially riding his tractor and bush hogging. He loved to fish and was especially fond of traveling, music and cooking. Bruce was a free spirited person and loved his family deeply. He is preceded in death by his father and a brother, Leslie Gary Chapman. He is survived by his mother, Betty S. Chapman of Summit; two sons, William Todd Chapman and wife, Breanna, and Leslie Taylor Chapman of Garnett, KS; his brother, Anthony Bryan Chapman of Summit; his sister, Lesley Reeves and husband, Scott of Summit; four grandchildren, Dean Chapman, Owen Chapman, Nathan Chapman and Graceland Chapman; three nieces, Kristen Chapman, Brandi Brabham and husband, Evan, and Shameka Boyd and husband, Brent; two great-nieces that he loved dearly, Sadie Mae Brabham and Brooklyn Mackenzie Brabham; a very special aunt, Mary Smith and husband, Ronnie of Jayess; his uncle, Johnny Smith and wife, Betty Sue of Jayess and numerous cousins, friends and other family members. Visitation is Friday at Sharkey Funeral Home 1023 Old Brookhaven Road Summit, MS from 10AM until services at 2PM with Rev. Dale Authement officiating. Burial will be in Reeves cemetery.
