Betty Rose Boyd, 90, of Jayess, MS passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at her residence in Jayess, MS. She was born Saturday, April 15, 1933 in Monticello, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Gospel Assembly Church, 1107 MS Hwy 44 in McComb, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Divide Methodist Protestant Church Cemetery in Monticello MS.  Pastor Keith Boyd will officiate. Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J D Boyd Jr.; father, Morris Blackwell; mother, Florence King Blackwell and two sisters, Pearl Williamson and Katherine Dunaway.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Davis; her brother, Morris Blackwell; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren of Jayess, MS.
