Mrs. Bessie Elaine Gordon, 77, of Magnolia, MS passed from this life on Friday, August 11, 2023, at McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on March 29, 1946, in Magnolia, MS, to W. J. Wilson and Dorothy East Wilson.

She enjoyed cooking, visiting with family and friends, and spending time with her cats. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Durwood Gordon; one son, Christopher "Kit" Gordon; one sister, Tommie Wilson; and one brother, Lamont Wilson.

She is survived by one son, Randy Gordon; four grandchildren, Christopher Glen Gordon, II and wife Heather, Joseph Stewart Gordon and wife Jasmine, Joshua McKnight Gordon and wife Mallory, and Jared Randall Gordon; nine great grandchildren, Caleb, Emerson, Savannah, Ella, Easton, Braylie, Carter, Dani, and Islay; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Jared Gordon, Glen Gordon, Josh Gordon, Stewart Gordon, Alvin Thompson, and Chris Haygood.

A visitation will be held Friday, August 18, 2023, at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS beginning at 5PM until 7PM and will continue Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 10AM until time of service at 11AM. A graveside service will immediately follow at Gillsburg Memorial Garden in Gillsburg, MS with Dr. David Millican officiating.
