Barbara Elise Eigenbrod died December 22, 2018 at the age of 70.

Born and raised in Metairie, she attended Holy Name of Jesus Mercy Academy and Southeastern University. She lived in New Orleans most of her life, moving to McComb, Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina. The highlight of her work career culminated in the founding of her own company where as President, she provided marketing communication services to the entertainment industry.Barbara was known for her wonderful culinary skills and her big heart. When someone needed support, she was always there for them. She loved caring for the nephews and nieces during their early childhood.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Frederick A. and Mildred B. Eigenbrod, and her brother Dennis Eigenbrod.She is survived by sisters Patricia Smith (Peter) and Joan Rodrigue (Louis); brothers Rick Eigenbrod (Vicki)and Dick Eigenbrod (Joann). She also leaves behind nephews Ian Eigenbrod and Matt Smith; nieces Lisa Dorsey, Kristen Cahoon, and Megan Eigenbrod; great nephew David Cahoon; great nieces Corrine Cahoon and Rachel Farley.Private services are planned for the family.
