Obituary

Mr. Aubrey Dale Jones, 53, of McComb, MS, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS, surrounded by his wife and children.

Mr. Aubrey was born in McComb, MS on August 20, 1967 and was the son of Hershel F. Jones, Sr. and Jimmie Lou McKenzie Jones. First and foremost, he loved his family with everything in him and cherished his time spent with them. He was a volunteer firefighter with Sunnyhill, Fernwood, Summit and Progress Fire Depts., and was a member of the Pike Co. Strike Team. He was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Summit, MS where he served as Security Team leader, and a former Sunday school teacher and choir member and in many other capacities. He loved the Lord and was a Christian man who loved his church family. He never met a stranger and had many friends. He enjoyed taking his children to the gun range. He built his company, Jones Appliance Service, with his dad. In that time, he helped so many people and passed down the knowledge to his sons. His business is part of what made him so well-known and respected in our community. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, LuAnn Bush and Brenda Reeves, and his mother-in-law, Mary Irene Kees.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Tammy Kees Jones of McComb, MS; three sons, Aubrey Jones, Jr of McComb, MS, Willard H. Jones of McComb, MS, and Nathan Jones; three daughters, Audrey Williams and husband, Steven of McComb, MS, Mary-Louann Jones of McComb, MS, and Alisha Jones of McComb, MS; one granddaughter, Emersyn Grace Williams; two brothers, Hershel F. Jones, Jr and Buster Jones and wife, DeeDee; two sisters, Phyllis McEwen and Betty Baize, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
