Arthur "Crossie" Cothern, 86 of Biloxi, MS passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025 at his residence. He was born Monday, October 16, 1939 in Walthall County, MS.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Sharkey Funeral Home in 1023 Old Brookhaven Road, Summit, Mississippi. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, at 2:30 PM with burial to follow in Enon Cemetery in Jayess, Mississippi. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was a loving husband and father. He was a man of his word and was loyal to his family and friends. Crossie was a stubborn man, even if he was wrong...he was right.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joann Thames; father, Jasper Cothern; mother, Flora Dunaway; brothers, Bobby Cothern, Marlin Cothern and Doyle Cothern; sisters, Kathrine Anderson, Josephine Cothern, Jean Roberts and Willie Ann Lang.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Cothern of Biloxi, MS; son, Allan Cothern; daughter, Cammie Cothern; brother, Fairley Cothern (Peggy); brother-in-law, Randy Lang; grandchildren, Joshua Frazier (Emily) and Shannon Diggs; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
